APA Care is an affordable, customisable family health insurance plan offering inpatient cover (with optional outpatient, maternity, dental and optical riders) across six plans — Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper — with annual limits from UGX 15,000,000 to UGX 150,000,000. It provides cashless treatment at an accredited panel of hospitals across Uganda and covers pre-existing and chronic diseases (including HIV/AIDS) after 12 months.

Professional Fees
Covers consultation and surgical/procedure fees for physicians, surgeons, anaesthetists, and other specialists.

Prescribed Discharge Drugs
Reimbursement or direct cover for necessary prescribed medication up to a 30 days' supply upon discharge.

Diagnostics & Imaging
Covers essential diagnostics, including laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, MRI, and CT scans.

Organ Transplants & Psychiatric Care
Organ transplant surgery and psychiatric hospitalisation are covered subject to policy limits and waiting periods.

Pre-existing, Chronic & HIV/AIDS
Cover is provided for pre-existing conditions, chronic illnesses, and HIV/AIDS after a 12-month waiting period.

Post-Hospitalisation Benefit

Maximum Entry Age
Up to 50 years of age for new members joining the plan.
Medical Screening
Required only for members aged 50 years and above.
